My name is Rich. Welcome, this is a little bit about me and the blog. I’m a whenever I feel like it blogger, who hopes to amuse, stimulate or just create a pause in your day.

In my 70’s now and still waiting for the wisdom which is supposed to accompany. Divorced a while back and living with girlfriend, Jo.

Sadly Teddy, my dog died Christmas 2022.

Manufacturing and Engineering trained, business MBA and most of my life in Sales and Marketing, Managing, across a number of industries, including the occasional Service.

My true driver and love was the achievement of profitable growth and/or turnaround of the fortunes of organisations, although in the case of the latter, I generally found that was needed, after arrival, but I love a challenge. People and their livelihoods matter.

Not sure how, but still naïve, random and positive….dings and dents of course, the blog will likely also be random….bits of everything, hopefully with humour. As already mentioned wisdom shouldn’t be assumed, just some thoughts and beliefs, which may be flawed, but as objective, honest, helpful, thought provoking and as fun as possible.

Truth is, some things you enjoy more than others and take in and others are no less important, but input of knowledge may suffer by way of white noise or boredom. We all rely on potentially flawed or biased sources of information, but that’s another topic and of course age and my natural disposition add to the mix of what is to follow.

I’d welcome your input or ideas and happy to correct anything that I’ve got wrong. No one knows everything and it’s good to hear the views of others…….learning doesn’t stop dunnit, unless earth is above or fire below. I hope that you find some amusement or value, in whatever gets dabbed on this blackboard in the ether.
